HVAC companies lose jobs in two places more than anywhere else: the missed call and the unaccepted estimate. Both are recoverable with the right follow-up system. Neither gets fixed by running more ads.
The missed call problem is straightforward. A homeowner's AC goes out at 6pm on a Friday. They call three HVAC companies. The first one to respond gets the job. If your phones go to voicemail after hours and no automated follow-up fires, you are handing that job to whoever answers next.
The estimate problem is slower and harder to see. A technician runs a diagnostic, sends a proposal, and follows up once. The homeowner says they need to think about it. The job disappears from the pipeline and no one follows up again. That estimate had a real dollar value. It is now someone else's revenue.
